On Wednesday, Daisy and I heard that there was a possibility we could watch the last lunar eclipse of the year sometime after sunset. Always up for an adventure, she picked me up around 5:15 p.m., and we drove to the very top of Timothy Hill to see if we could catch a glimpse. Once we reached the top, we decided to climb up the water tower's ladder to get up even higher. Really it was more like a square water container than a tower, but
water container and
water building don't quite have the same ring as
water tower. Oh, but don't worry, these two ladies of leisure weren't in any danger. Well, I mean...I guess we could've been, but we just walked very carefully across the top of the building to the other side.
After about an hour of waiting around and staring at the rising moon, we decided to leave. Eventually, it was just too cloudy to see anything. Of course, when we arrived home, we learned that the eclipse had already occurred that morning, and that it happened below the horizon. Even if we had gone at the right time, we would not have been able to see it. Bummer, right? Only just a little. Even though we didn't get to see the magic moon show, we were able to enjoy some amazing views. Enjoy the photos!
