Meet Go-Getter-Erin

And here I am yet again, with another character description for the Real Housewives of St. Kitts Reality Show. Meet my fabulous friend, Erin. :)

Miss Erin, Extraordinaire

Stats
Name: Erin Elizabeth Wenner (AKA: EWwww or E-Dub)
Birthday: December 8, 1982
Relationship Status: Married
Anniversary: August 14, 2010
Kids: Yes---Franklin and Milo: Two crazy boys masquerading around as furry cat-shaped mammals.
Arrival on Island: August 27th 2010
Best known for: Merriment-making and her ridiculous love for all things sparkly.

Life Before St. Kitts: Erin grew up in St. Helena, California---the foodie/wine capital of the worldAfter college, she began teaching 8th grade math in East Helena at East Valley Middle School. Erin also earned her Master's in Mathematics with an emphasis in Secondary Education. Prior to moving to St. Kitts, she managed to finish up another school year, move out of her home, present her Master's Thesis, and get married to her husband, Daniel. Needless to say, Erin was busy tying the knot and tying up loose ends before heading to her new island home!

Fun Facts:
1. Despite the locale of her upbringing, Erin loves only unpretentious delicious food---whether it be from her own kitchen or a local restaurant.
2. She has family members in Montana so she attended college at the University of Montana in Missoula. Erin is proud to say that she's head over heels in love with that city because it embraces all things funky, yummy, and earthy---while still maintaining it's small-town charm.
3. Her hobbies include, but are not limited to: being a social butterfly, dancing, cooking, decorating cakes, sewing, party planning & decorating, being crafty, making jewelry, snowboarding, and expanding her collection of all things fashionable.
4. She once took trapeze lessons!

Life in St. Kitts: When she arrived, Erin wasted little time and took the initiative to busy herself. She began teaching at Ross University's Preparatory School and started volunteering with the St. Kitts Sea Turtle Monitoring Network---patrolling beaches and making jewelry for fundraising purposes. In addition to that, she happily transitioned into becoming the VIP Coordinator, welcoming new spouses to the island and helping them feel comfortable. As you can see, we didn't call her Go-Getter-Erin for nothin'!

Life After St. Kitts: Erin and Dan have recently found themselves back in the US, beginning a new chapter in their lives. They are currently awaiting notice from a Veterinary school in Grenada. Once notified of acceptance, they will experience a new adventure, moving to another foreign country. How exciting! Personally, I can't wait to visit. :)

Why will Erin be popular with the views? Erin. is. fun...to say the least! Her merry personality is sure to infect anyone around. Prepare yourselves for spontaneous high-energy dance moves, delicious food concoctions, Family Guy quotes, event-rallying, and unbelievable crafty talents. Yes that's right---she's my go-to person when it comes to anything craft-related.

Meet Janae-nae

My third installment of The Real Housewives of St. Kitts Reality Show pays tribute to my dear friend, Janae.

Beautiful Janae. :)
Stats:
Name: Janae
Birthday: March 12, 1982
Relationship Status: Married
Anniversary: August 7, 2003
Kids: Yes---Raymond: human, age 5; Henry: human, age 3; Charlotte: canine, age unknown, mange victim, recently spayed
Arrival On Island: December 2009
Spirit Animal: Ewok

Life Before St. Kitts: About a year prior to relocating to St. Kitts, Janae and her family enjoyed a gypsy-like lifestyle, traveling from Arizona to Cali, and then back to Arizona. While residing in the great state of Arizona yet again, they had their sights set on St. Kitts, where her husband, Andrew, applied and was accepted to UMHS.

Fun Facts: Although Janae and her family have recently moved back to the US, (they flew out on Tuesday), she was a major player in the SK Housewives Club. Always friendly and welcoming, Janae hosted regular Dance Central and Bunco events. Her dance coordination is astounding, to say the least. Lest we forget, her homemade Rice Krispies are to die for, and she has great taste in clothes, home decor, and accessories. Ooooh, and she shaved her head once!

In addition to Diana and Kristen, Janae was a Crackhouse resident, and a proud one! I'd be proud to, if I had the best Crackhouse apartment in the entire complex. She and her husband went to great lengths to provide a comfortable home for their family. With Janae's creative direction, and Andrew's efficient labor---they turned their matte, stark white home, into a colorful and clean bungalow. Kudos to them.

Janae's hobbies include professional photography, video editing, blogging, karaoke-ing, and being an amazing Mom to her two young boys and nearly new, mange survivor---Charlotte the Canine. She also happens to have a Bachelor's Degree in English from BYU. That's right folks---she's the next Stephanie Meyer. Jealous?

Life After St. Kitts: For the time being, Janae and her family are living in Los Angeles, California---planning their next steps for Andrew's schooling. They may stay in the US or end up as far as Mexico or Dominca. Stay tuned to find out! There will definitely be an episode featuring a visit to wherever they choose to reside.

Why will Janae be popular with the viewers? Janae is a lively character among the group. Her sense of humor and contagious laughter make those around her giggle right along. With her hip house parties and fabulous fashion sense, viewers will drool over her home and her wardrobe. She also happens to be fantastic at Trivia and at karaoke, a must-have skill to be a Real Housewife of St. Kitts.

Hellllllooooo, June

Umm...it's June. CRAZY! I have been living in Saint Kitts for almost six months. That's half of a year. I guess it's true when they say your time on this island flies by very quickly.

A few changes that are worth noting...

POOL TIME: Tiffany moved to Calypso Bay, so we girls find ourselves at her infinity pool often. Can you blame us? It's gorgeous!

Here's Em enjoying the pool.

Em, Me, Tiff, and Di

I STARTED TUTORING: Yes, that's right. Me, a teacher...sort of. I help this woman and her son with their English skills once a week. It's been going really well so far, and it gets me out of the house.

VOLUNTEERING: Along with tutoring, I started volunteering at Ross' prep school. And I have even "substituted," once. I basically just help out in the daycare and with the preschoolers. What's happening to me, you ask? I'm not sure...but I do like the kiddies. There's a little girl named Lyla that makes my heart melt and another little girl named Ava that I just adore. Both of them are about three years old, and they're such nice little girls. My friend Jessie has her son, Beau, enrolled in preschool, and he's the cutest little boy. He's blonde with long hair and bangs. Too adorable. Another little one that I tend to help with, is little baby Alyssa. She is about three months old, and although adorable---she's a little fussy---so I spend a lot of my time making sure she's not screaming. I know, I know---what a change of pace for me, right? OHHHHH, that reminds me. I changed a diaper for the first time the other day. What the...hahhaaa. :)

I GOT THE FEEVAH: Well, what I really mean is that Matthew diagnosed me with Dengue Fever. Click here for the official Wiki description. I started feeling not-so-amazing last Friday, and am now almost back to normal (it is now Wednesday). I experienced chills, a fever, night sweats, fatigue, chest pain, serious loss of appetite, difficulty with breathing deeply, headaches, sore eyeballs (weird, I know), stiff and sore joints, etc.

ISLAND DEPARTURES: Janae and Erin both left Saint Kitts this week. Erin and her husband, Dan, departed on Sunday. Janae, Andrew, and their two boys, Raymond and Henry, flew out on Tuesday. I'm going to miss both of these ladies oh so much. I am wishing them much luck and love with their new chapters in life.

One of the first nights of our shenanigans. :)

Janae and me at my birthday lime. :)

THE HEAT: Oh boy has it been hot. Summer is here, and although I feel like I've acclimated to the heat pretty well, I can definitely tell that we've had an increase in temperature.

RUNNING: Last week, Tiffany and I started running about two miles every evening...until I got sick on Friday. I have yet to get back into the swing of things, but we're hoping to start again as soon as I feel 100% back-to-normal.

CAR: The transmission in our car died in late February...and we still do not have our car back from our mechanic. Talk about island time because it is now June. OISK!

VISITORS: My girlfriend, Rochelle, and her husband, Matthew, are flying into Saint Kitts on Sunday. I am so excited to see familiar faces from home.

A photo of me and Rochelle from Nov 2009.

YOGA: On Monday, I went to Jessie's yoga class. She holds it Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:30 a.m. for about half an hour. Yoga has been something I've always avoided because I'm not flexible and those stretching positions hurt. BUT---as I've gotten older, I'm a little bit stiffer when I wake up in the mornings, and my muscles just seem so tight and uncomfortable. I'm hoping that yoga will help with my inevitable aging.

CANINE: I met the biggest dog ever.

The photo does little justice to this canine's true size.
OCEAN MOVES: I started working on my underwater tricks.

See me in the middle? With the kinked leg? Yeah...I've got a lot of work to do.

PAINTING: Painting my fingernails and toenails, that is. In the US, that was one glamorous task I avoided. Mainly because I never had the time or patience to do it. Well...now I have all the time in the world. I'd like to state that my painting abilities have seriously improved. Yay!
